Coco Logs are widely used for shoreline and stream bank stabilization all over the world
Made of 100 coconut fiber and bound by coconut fiber netting these bioengineering
materials are durable economical biodegradable and easy to install
Coco Logs provide protection against erosion and undermining caused by rain and wave
forces while also serving as a natural filter
The logs serve as an excellent growing medium for new vegetation which in turn provides
nourishment shelter and habitat for wildlife
Coco Logs can be cut into sections and stacked for fluid containment or used separately for
check structures
These logs are resistant to water forces reducing wave and flow impacts in shoreline and
stream channel applications
They can be used to stabilize shorelines where seedlings andor cuttings are inserted into
the log with sediment As the coconut fiber log biodegrades the plants develop a
wellestablished root system in the shoreline sediment which helps retain soil in place
Coir Logs are installed at the mean annual water level and fixed with wooden stakes

The logs can be installed at any time of the year and can be strung together to form a
shoreline chain or stacked parallel to form a wall
Coco Logs are also useful for catch basin protection preventing pollutants from entering
sewer systems
They can be used in desert areas to control sand overcomes
