Rhodes Grass Hay

Product Overview & Sourcing
YEMBROOS Rhodes Grass Hay is harvested from the wild pastures and mountain regions of Gujarat State, India. Sourced as sun-cured mountain grass, this product is harvested from uncultivated wild pasture areas, making it well-suited for domestic farm animals as well as wild herbivores. Because it is harvested from wild terrain, overall quality and nutritional values can vary across different batches. The hay is seasonally harvested and made available exclusively during December, January, and February each year; off-season availability is not guaranteed, so buyers are encouraged to stock up during peak supply months.

Technical Specifications & Nutritional Profile
Evaluated via IS:2052 proximate analysis on a dry matter basis, the nutritional composition of Rhodes Grass Hay includes a crude protein level between 2.5% and 4.5%, crude fat ranging from 0.67% to 2.3%, crude fibre between 35% and 39%, and an ash content of 10% to 12%. The moisture level typically ranges between 7.5% and 10.5%, with a maximum allowable moisture cap of 12%. The product is 100% vegetarian, supplied as round hay bales, with a daily factory production capacity of 50 MT. Due to bio-security and operational rules, on-site factory visits are not permissible. Standard pre-shipment fumigation is conducted using Aluminum Phosphide, Methyl Bromide, or customized protocols per buyer request.

Packaging, Weight & Logistics Details
While individual wild pasture bales typically weigh between 75 kg and 100 kg, standard units are packed and priced at a net weight of 50 kg per unit. Because the bales are manually baled, exact weights for individual bales remain variable. Owing to the high volume and low bulk density of grass hay, cargo space requirements are significant, limiting standard truck loading capacities to a maximum of 6 to 8 tons per shipment.
