Dried Coconut

Dried coconut is the dehydrated form of fresh coconut meat, obtained from the mature fruit of the Cocos nucifera tree. It is prepared by removing the shell and brown testa, then shredding, flaking, or grating the white flesh before drying it to reduce moisture content. This process preserves the natural sweetness, rich aroma, and nutty flavor of the coconut while extending its shelf life.

Available in various forms such as desiccated coconut, coconut chips, flakes, and powder, dried coconut is widely used in confectionery, bakery products, curries, desserts, and snack mixes. It is a rich source of healthy fats, dietary fiber, and essential minerals, making it a popular ingredient in both traditional recipes and modern health foods.
