Shikay Powder

Product Description:

Shikakai (pronounced "shee-ka-kai") is a traditional herb commonly used in Ayurvedic, particularly in India, for its hair care benefits. The name "Shikakai" translates to "fruit for the hair" in Hindi, and it has been used for centuries as a natural cleanser and conditioner for the scalp and hair. Shikakai powder is made by drying and grinding the fruit pods, seeds, and bark of the Acacia concinna tree, which is native to Southeast Asia and parts of India.

Shampoo Substitute: Shikakai powder can be mixed with water to create a paste, which can be used as a natural shampoo. It gently cleanses the scalp and hair without harsh chemicals, leaving the hair feeling soft and shiny. It is especially beneficial for those with dry, sensitive, or dandruff-prone scalps.

Hair Masks and Conditioners: Shikakai powder can be combined with other natural ingredients like Amla powder, Henna, Brahmi powder, or Yogurt to create nourishing hair masks. These masks can be applied to the scalp and hair to strengthen the hair roots, promote growth, and reduce hair fall.

Scalp Treatment: Due to its mild antiseptic and anti-fungal properties, Shikakai powder can be used to treat scalp infections, dandruff, and itching. It helps balance the scalp's pH and removes excess oil, promoting a healthier environment for hair growth.
