En 590 Diesel

EN 590 Diesel : is a European standard that specifies the physical and chemical properties required for automotive diesel fuel. It ensures uniform quality across the European Union and other adopting countries, facilitating compatibility with diesel engines and adherence to emission regulations.

Key specifications of EN 590 diesel fuel include:

Cetane Number: Minimum of 51, indicating good ignition quality.

Density at 15C: Between 820 and 860 kg/m, ensuring proper combustion and energy content.

Sulfur Content: Maximum of 10 ppm (parts per million), classifying it as ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) to reduce harmful emissions.

Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME) Content: Allows up to 7% biodiesel blending, promoting renewable energy use.

Cold Filter Plugging Point (CFPP): Varies seasonally and geographically to ensure operability in different climates.
