Cocamide DEA (DCSA) is a viscous liquid and is used as a foaming agent in bath products like shampoos and hand soaps, and in cosmetics as an emulsifying agent that helps keep the formulations stable and prevents the ingredients from separating. Further, it is a surfactant which means that it reduces the surface tension between different compounds. It is also widely used in the cleaning industry , as a cleansing agent whose main thing is being a very good team player next to other (anionic) cleaning agents and working as an excellent foam booster and viscosity builder.
