History Java Preanger coffee can be said to be the origin of coffee plantations in Indonesia. Java Preanger is an area in West Java, located in the mountainous region of Malabar. Java Preanger Coffee is also commonly referred to as Malabar Coffee or Bandung Coffee. When the Dutch came to Indonesia, they realized the potential for fertility and the contour of Indonesian land was very good for coffee plantations. Therefore, the Dutch at that time made coffee plantations for the first time in Indonesia, namely in West Java. Coffee plantations are formed using the FORCED PLANT METHOD.
