"Magnesium sulfate can be used in leather making, explosives, paper making, porcelain, fertilizer, and oral laxative in medical treatment. Magnesium sulfate is used as a fertilizer in agriculture because magnesium is one of the main components of chlorophyll, and its advantage over other fertilizers is higher solubility.
Industry
It is used in leather making, explosives, fertilizer, paper making, porcelain, printing and dyeing materials, lead-acid battery and other industries. Magnesium sulfate, like other minerals such as potassium, calcium, amino acid salts and silicates, can be used as bath salts.
Agriculture
Fertilizer: in agriculture and horticulture, magnesium sulfate is used to improve magnesium deficient soils (magnesium is an essential element of the chlorophyll molecule), most commonly used in potted plants, or magnesium containing crops such as potatoes, roses, tomatoes, peppers and hemp. The advantage of magnesium sulfate over other magnesium sulfate soil amendments (such as dolomitic lime) is its high solubility.
Feed: feed grade magnesium sulfate as a supplement of magnesium in feed processing. Magnesium is an indispensable factor in the process of bone formation and muscle contraction in livestock and poultry. It is the activator of many enzymes in livestock and poultry, and plays an extremely important role in material metabolism and nerve function in livestock and poultry. If livestock and poultry lack of magnesium, it will lead to material metabolism and nerve function disorder, supply imbalance, affect the growth and development of livestock and poultry, and even lead to death.
Building Material
Magnesium sulfate can react with light calcined powder to form magnesium oxysulfate cement after dissolving in water. Magnesium oxysulfate cement has good fire resistance, thermal insulation, durability and environmental protection. It is used in many fields, such as fire door core board, external wall insulation board, silicon modified thermal insulation board, fireproof board and so on."
