Kaolin or "China Clay" is a white, soft, plastic clay mainly composed of fine-grained plate-like particles. It is chemically inert, non-abrasive and has low heat and electricity conductivity.

Main Uses/ Industry :
" The largest applications for kaolin are the filling and coating of paper as well as the production of fine ceramics.

Absorption of oil and dirt

Kaolin preferentially adsorbs oil, which imparts its hydrophobic characteristics to the mineral surface.

Kaolins enhance specialty paper products including thermal paper, carbonless paper, label grades and ink jet paper."
