Anionic Surface Sizing

Overview :
LGS-P-SSA20 IS Surfsce Sizing AGENT IS Designed Specifically to meet requirement in sizing promoting for medium and liner paper. Although, starch is widely used in surface sizing and it does improve surface strength and ring crush, but is has no thing to do with sizing performance , i.e. cobb, so an additional sizing agent must be added to the starch system either to get a higher sizing effect or to further reduce sizing agent in the wet-end. With LGS-P-SSA20 Sizing effect can easily be got, that means a more stable paper quality in every roll.

LGS-P-SSA20exhibits good compatibility to surface sizing starch solution Including oxidized starch, APS converted starch and HPO converted starch.

LGS-P-SSA20 NTP-SS 200 is stable to wet-end chemicals, such as Alum that always leaches Out to the starch solution and may cause flocculation to anionic Chemicals, but alum causes no harm to LGS-P-SSA20

LGS-P-SSA20 is a non-foaming chemical, and causes no froth in the Recycling Starch solution, so it can be used in various surface sizing system, e.g. Size-press,sym-size. gate-roll, etc.

LGS-P-SSA20 imparts anionic nature to the surface starch solution and Henceforth improves the retention of the said starch solution on the Paper Surface LGS-P-SSA20 Is very quick in curing so after dryer the paper shows good cobb Size immediately LGS-P-SSA20 is very low corrosive, and so not harmful to paper machine.

Application :
LGS-P-SSA20 is usually applied in the size press imetering size press in combination with starch, but it can also simply be diluted with water It can be added in batches or continuously, the latter method heing more Versatile in that it eriables levels of addition to be adjusted more quickly as circumstances demand The paper does nol necessarily have to be sized at the wet end before LGS-P-SSA20 is applied but this can be an effective means of controlling the extent to which the size solution is able to penetrate. Between 5g/land 20g of LGS-P-SSA20 are required for had sized paper depending On factors such as whether any size is added at the wet ond, etc. it can be combined with starch in concentration between 20g/l and 130g1.
