Gabion Mattress
Gabion Mattresses, or Reno mattresses, are gabion type structures manufactured from 60 x 80 80*100 double twist mesh with more planar area and relatively small in thickness. The blending of Reno Mattress structures into the environment is rapid and pleasing. The voids in the rock fill become progressively filled with silt, promoting vegetation growth which is essential to the preservation and maintenance of the ecological balance of the surrounding environment.
Gabion Mattresses are used for river bank and scour protection, channel linings for erosion control, and embankment stability. They are filled with rock at the project site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures to promote rapid growth of natural vegetation. All the physical and mechanical properties of Zhuomao Reno Mattresses meet or exceed the requirements of ASTM A975 .
Gabion Mattresses are designed to provide reliable and long-lasting solutions for erosion control, slope stabilization, and channel protection. Made from high-quality galvanized steel, they ensure exceptional durability and performance in various environments.
What Are Gabion Mattresses?
Gabion Mattresses, also known as Reno Mattresses, are thinner and broader than standard gabion baskets. They are specifically designed to cover large surface areas, making them ideal for controlling soil erosion and stabilizing slopes. Filled with stones or other materials, they form flexible, permeable, and monolithic structures that adapt to different terrains.
Advantages of Gabion Mattresses
High Flexibilityï¼?Adapts to ground movement and settling, making them suitable for unstable terrains.
Durable and Long-Lastingï¼?Manufactured from galvanized steel for superior resistance to corrosion and weathering. Optional PVC coating is available for added protection in harsh environments.
Permeabilityï¼?Prevents hydrostatic pressure by allowing water to pass through, reducing the risk of structural damage.
Eco-Friendlyï¼?Promotes vegetation growth, blending seamlessly with natural landscapes and supporting ecological balance.
Cost-Effectiveï¼?Lower installation and maintenance costs compared to traditional concrete solutions.
Customizableï¼?Available in various sizes and specifications to suit specific project requirements.
