Lithium hydroxide is one of the most important lithium compounds, including anhydrous LiOH and LiOH �· H2O. Anhydrous LiOH is white tetragonal crystalline particles or mobile powder, with relative density of 1.45g/cm3, melting point of 471.2 �ºC and boiling point of 1620 �ºC. Lithium hydroxide monohydrate is a white single crystal powder that is easy to deliquescence. The phase chemical book has a density of 1.51g/cm3 and a melting point of 680 �ºC. When the temperature is higher than 100 �ºC, the crystalline water is lost and becomes anhydrous LiOH. LiOH is soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol. It is easy to absorb CO2 in air to form Li2CO3. LiOH and its concentrated solution are corrosive and can corrode glass and ceramics at general temperature.
