Dunite is a Magnesium Iron Silicate mineral produced from volcanic rocks. The name Dunite also known as Olivine Sand is given to members of the fosterite - fayalite solid-solution series.
It is a economical source of MgO, with good insulating properties, high resistance to alkaline oxides that make it excellent for use in bricks and unshaped refractory. Because of its high melting point and resistance to chemical reagents is an important refractory material and thus can be used in furnace linings and in kilns.
Primary Uses in Refractory Industry
Dunite is used as a raw material for basic refractories along with Dead Burnt Magnesite in manufacturing of Magnesia Bricks and Monolithic Refractories such as Ramming Mixes, Gunning Mixes, Tundish Spray Mixes and Fluxes. It has the advantage of excellent resistance against metals and slag penetration (due to high forsterite content), thermal shock, wear attack.
We offer Dunite for Refractory Application with various chemical compositions and numerous sizes as per clientâ??s requirement.

Bentonite is a type of clay that is composed of volcanic ash. It is used in various industries such as drilling mud, pet waste absorbent, foundry sand bond, and iron ore pelletizing applications. Bentonites contain a variety of accessory minerals in addition to montmorillonite such as quartz, feldspar, calcite and gypsum. The presence of these minerals could impact the industrial value of the deposit, reducing or increasing its value depending on the application.
There are different grades of bentonite such as sodium bentonite and calcium bentonite. Sodium bentonite is used for drilling muds, pet waste absorbents, and iron ore pelletizing applications. Calcium bentonite is used for foundry sand bond applications.
TAP GROUP can source Sodium Bentonite for your drilling needs.
