Coir Blanket is a biodegradable mat made from natural coconut coir fibers, designed for erosion control, soil stabilization, and vegetation growth support. These blankets are woven or needle-punched and are used to cover slopes, riverbanks, and landscapes to prevent soil erosion and promote plant growth. They act as a protective layer, holding soil in place while allowing water, air, and plant roots to penetrate. Coir blankets are widely used in environmental conservation, landscaping, and agriculture due to their eco-friendly nature and durability. Over time, they naturally decompose, enriching the soil with organic matter.
Benefits
Erosion Control: Prevents soil loss on slopes, riverbanks, and construction sites.
Eco-Friendly & Biodegradable: Made from 100% natural coconut fibers, decomposing over time into organic material.
Supports Vegetation Growth: Provides a stable base for grass, plants, and seeds to establish roots.
Durable & Long-Lasting: Coir fibers are strong and resistant to environmental stress, lasting 2 - 5 years before decomposing.
Improves Soil Stability: Helps maintain moisture, prevents soil displacement, and enhances soil health.
Uses
Erosion Control: Used on slopes, embankments, and riverbanks to prevent soil erosion.
Landscaping & Reforestation: Supports plant growth in reforestation and land rehabilitation projects.
Road & Construction Sites: Stabilizes soil in road projects and construction sites to prevent soil displacement.
Wetland & Riverbank Protection: Helps reinforce areas prone to water runoff and flooding.
