Commonly used ion exchange equipment filled with ion exchange resin are mostly 201*7 strong styryl anion exchange resin and 001*7 strong acidic styrene cation exchange resin. If the water quality is particularly high in the occasion we always use polished ion exchange resin.
Working principle of ion exchange resin
Water softening: Under normal circumstances, the conventional sodium ion exchange resin with a large number of sodium ions. When the water content of calcium and magnesium ions is high, the ion exchange resin can release sodium ions, functional groups and calcium and magnesium ions, so that the water content of calcium and magnesium ions decreased water hardness decreased. Hard water becomes soft water, which is softened water equipment work process.
Regeneration: When the ion exchange resin on a large number of functional groups combined with calcium and magnesium ions, the ion exchange resin softening capacity can be used sodium chloride solution flow through the ion exchange resin,at this time with the high sodium content, Functional groups will release calcium and magnesium ions and sodium ions, so that ion exchange resin can restore the exchange capacity, this process is called regeneration.

1. Condensation of reaction gases
