Plastic dewatering machine has the unique ability to absorb materials with high moisture content and reduce it to low levels. When used in our PE film cleaning lines or PET bottle cleaning lines, the dehydrator is the first in a series of machines.

Work principles
A dehydrator or decanter centrifuge is actually very similar to a friction washer; that is, both machines have a long shaft at the center that is mounted with a number of panels or paddles. Around this rapidly rotating axis is a mesh tunnel. The entire device is housed in a metal container with an electric motor mounted on the outside.
As material is fed into the vertical feeder, the shaft rotates at nearly 1,000 revolutions per minute. The material inside is continuously thrown outward into the screen tunnel. The water passing through the mesh tunnel is collected for recycling, while the plastic moves to the next drying equipment, usually a thermal dryer. Generally speaking, a dehydrator can reduce the moisture to about 20-30%.
Centrifugal dryers use centrifugal or "spinning" force to remove some of the water from the plastic sheets. This is a cost-effective method of drying PET flakes, PP/PE flakes and other plastic regrind before heat drying. Fangtai's patented centrifugal dryer is also a friction cleaner (cold water) used to cool and further clean the plastic sheets in a scrubbing manner.
