Coconut shell charcoal is a high density, eco-friendly fuel obtained by burning the shell of fully matured coconuts with a limited supply of air so that they do not burn away to ash but are only carbonized. The manufacture of shell charcoal shows from the coconut shell has become a very important economic and commercial activity. Furthermore, coconut shell charcoal, which was relatively minor product in the past, has now developed into a general commercial commodity due to its intrinsic value as a raw material for the manufacture of activated carbon. Coconut shell charcoal shall be of the following two types:
Type I Coconut shell charcoal pieces
Type II Coconut shell charcoal granulated

Industrial: Used in metallurgy for smelting gold and silver and as an eco-friendly substitute for furnace oil

Appearance: Uniformly dark black and hard with a shiny surface on broken edges.
High Carbon Content: Typically contains 75% to 85% fixed carbon, providing a steady and intense heat.
Heat Performance: Boasts a high calorific value ranging from 7,000 to 8,000 kcal/kg, nearly double that of some wood charcoals.
Low Ash & Smoke: Produces minimal ash (often <3% to 5%) and very low smoke emissions, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor use.
Physical Quality: Good quality pieces produce a distinctive metallic "ring" sound when dropped on a hard surface.
