Bamboo charcoal is charcoal made from species of bamboo.
Bamboo charcoal is typically made from the culms or refuse of mature bamboo plants and burned in ovens at temperatures ranging from 600 to 1200 °C. It is especially porous charcoal, making it useful in the manufacture of activated carbon.
Bamboo charcoal is made of bamboo by means of a pyrolysis process. According to the types of raw materials, bamboo charcoal can be classified as raw bamboo charcoal or

lumps. There are two equipment processes used in carbonization, one is a brick kiln process, and the other is a mechanical process.
In East Asia and Africa, many people use bamboo charcoal as a cooking fuel, producing less air pollution than other charcoal. Like all charcoal, bamboo charcoal purifies water by reducing organic impurities, odorants, and chlorine.

Traditional rice varieties are also known as heirloom varieties. Traditional rice. varieties show better performance with the natural farming methods and with sustainable practices from the early years ago and have higher nutritional and medicinal qualities unique to them. Due to this, farmers were engaged in cultivating these varieties from generation to generation, thus conserving the gene pool. Even though these newly improved paddy varieties were short in terms of age and high yielding, they depend on chemical fertilizer and are labor intensive, thus posing a negative externality to the environment. Therefore still 8-10% of farmers
are adopted to grow traditional rice varieties fully or part of their whole extent of cultivated land even at present.

Currently we are producing TomEJC/TEJC mango variety. This variety has more similar characteristics to Alphonso variety. Itâ??s one of the juiciest mango varieties in the world. The average weight of a fruit is about 500g. TJC Mango is a beautiful golden orange fruit with an unblemished skin.
It has excellent flavor, low fiber content and smooth flesh. The small seed means there is more flesh to eat. The fruit ripens slowly giving time for the produce to reach the export market. Currently we have cultivated 31.75 ha with TEJC mango.
The mango is grown in the Mahiyangana region of the Uva Province in Sri Lanka. The region has excellent reddish brown earth (RBE) soil and fine weather conditions to bring out the wonderfully unique flavor of the TJC Mango. It is a regular heavy bearer of high quality fruits. TJC fruit is available from August to January.
