But let us make a bit of history. In the middle of the 19th century it is discovered a technique that can produce tiles without the need for cooking. This technique consists, in broad terms, of the use of a hydraulic press and a mold to create infinite patterns with different colors. The structure of the tiles, about 2cm thick (depending on its use in walls or flooring) is made up of three layers. The first layer, the decorated surface is made up of white Portland cement, marble sand and pigments. The second layer made of a mixture of Portland cement and sand had the function to absorb the excess water from the top layer. The third made with regular cement and sand porosity which facilitates adherence of the floor during installation. Our tiles are still made as before. It is made piece by piece. Dark Emperador is a calcareous stone extracted in the mining areas of Albacete and Murcia (Spain). It presents a dark brown tone of colour crossed with white or light brown veins. The classification (and also its capacity of being supplied and its price) depends on the homogeneity of the tone of colour, the constant veining and the presence of mineral intrussions. Its classification (and also its capacity of being supplied and its price) depends on the homogeneity of tone of colour, the constant veining and the presence of mineral intrusions. Use Its suitable mainly for indoor flooring and cladding. In outdoor areas only for cladding small areas (shops, lower floors) or in antique finish. Negro marquina is a compact and fine grained black rock quarried and manufactured in spain. This marble is a recrystallized reef chalk with some calcite veins, on which some fossil remains can be seen. Crema Marfil is a calcareous stone extracted in the mining areas of West Alicante province and North of Murcia province (Spain). The material has a creamy background tone of colour, that can vary form light tone (scarce) to medium tone. Crema Marfil presents calcium veins of soft brown or orangish colour. The classification (and also its capacity of being supplied and its price) depends on the homogeneity of the tone of colour, the amount of veins and the presence of mineral intrussions. USE Its suitable for indoor flooring and cladding. In outdoor areas only for cladding small zones (with maintenance) or in antique finish.
