Quartz is a chemical compound consisting of one part silicon and two parts oxygen. It is the most abundant mineral found at Earths surface and its unique properties make it one of the most useful natural substances.Quartz is the second most common mineral in the Earths continental crust. It is made up of a lattice of silica. Its usefulness can be linked to its physical and chemical properties. It is chemically inert in contact with most substances. It has electrical properties and heat resistance that make it valuable in electronic products. Its luster, color and diaphaneity make it useful as a gemstone and also in the making of glass. This makes it a very essential mineral in our daily life.

About THE Product : Blast furnace slag is used in the production of cement (iron Portland and blast furnace cement). Air-cooled blast furnace slag is formed by allowing the molten slag to cool relatively slowly under ambient conditions; final cooling can be accelerated with a water spray. The cooled material is hard and dense, although it can have a vesicular texture with closed pores. After crushing and screening, air-cooled slag can be used in several applications. Granulated slag is formed by quenching molten slag in water to form sand-sized particles of glass. The disordered structure of this glass gives the material moderate hydraulic cementitious properties when very finely ground into granulated blast furnace slag, but if it can access free lime, the granulated blast furnace slag develops strong hydraulic cementitious properties. Pelletized or expanded slag is cooled through a water jet, which leads to rapid steam generation and the development of innumerable vesicles within the slag. The vesicular texture reduces the overall density of the slag and allows for good mechanical binding with hydraulic cement paste. Blast Furance Slag is a nonmetallic co-product which is produced in the process of iron manufacturing, Granulated Blast Furnace Slag is a glassy granular material formed when molten blast furnace slag is rapidly cooled by direct water. Rapid cooling prohibits the formation of crystals and forms glassy, non-metallic, silicates and alumino silicates of calcium. Specifications Product : Quartz Silica Use : Industrial Use Color : White to Super Snow White Form : Powder & Grains Packaging Type : Small Plastic Bags / Jumbo Bags Packaging size : 50kgs / 1000-1200 kgs Whiteness : 90 to 95% Quartz is made up of a lattice of silica (SiO2) tetrahedral. It is the 2nd most common mineral in the world. Its very hard rock having hardness around 7 on the Mohs scale and its density is 2.65 g/cm3. Quartz is a common constituent of granite, sand stone, lime stone and many igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. It occurs in hydrothermal veins and pegmatites. Well-formed crystals may reach several meters in length and weigh hundreds of kilograms. The variety of quartz occurs either in translucent or mostly opaque, while the transparent varieties tend to be macrocrystalline. Although many of the varietal names historically arose from the colour of the mineral, current scientific naming schemes refer primarily to the micro structure of the mineral. Colour is a secondary identifier for the cryptocrystalline minerals, although it is a primary identifier for the macrocrystalline varieties. This does not always hold true. Not all varieties of quartz are naturally occurring. Some coloured mineral is produced by heat treatment. At PEEKAY MINERALS only natural Quartz is available. The quartz mineral is usually processed in the grain size of 0 to 6 mm. However, it can further be ground in fine mesh as per buyers' application choice or demand. For commercial classification the qualities of Quartz are governed as identification marks like Glassy, Snow white, White or Semi-white grades. The processing techniques at PEEKAY MINERALS ensures consistent quality, control of size and freedom from impurities at pocket friendly costs. Application: Manufacture in glass Paints and coatings Abrasives Refractories Electronic components As silica in many more applications Features: Free from impurities Controlled size of grains High purity
