Exothermic welding is one kind of exothermic welding methods which use super high heat produced by chemical reaction (exothermic reaction) to complete welding. Exothermic welding is also called as fireclay fusion joining, fireclay fusion welding, exothermic fusion welding, exothermic welding, chemical heat fusion welding, etc.
Chemical reaction rate for exothermic welding is so fast that it only needs a few seconds to complete welding. Produced super high heat can effectively conduct to fusion part so that it is melted to form bonded molecular. No other heat is required. It is the best method to weld metal conductor for ground circuit. See IEEE STD.80-1976.
