Fluorspar (CaF2) is widely used in industry and beyond. This chemical compound is mostly fit for the production of hydrogen fluoride, which is used for example in glass etching and yeast production. It is also a valuable raw material used in the production filters and optical glasses, anti-reflection coatings, cosmetics, (calcium) nitrogenous fertilisers used in agriculture, dental preparations and varnishes.
