1. Decrease starting current.
Utilizing soft start as the most general application starting mode, the motor is given an initial voltage setting, from the initial voltage level; the output voltage to the motor is steplessly increased to the rated full voltage in the pre-setting ramp time. The starting current of the motor is limited in 2 times of the rated working current, while the conventional full voltage starting current is 5 or 6 times of the rated working current. The limited soft starting current can decrease the insulation damage to the motor & the cable and avoid the problem of mechanical and electric pressure as well as lengthen mechanical life of the ESP-unit and reduce maintenance.
2. Eliminate operating over-voltage.
Utilizing soft stop as the most general application stop mode, the output voltage to the motor is steplessly decreased from the full voltage to the point where the load torque is greater than the developed motor torque, this can eliminate the 3 or 4 times operating over-voltage occurred with conventional coast-to-rest stop or unexpected power-off. The destruction of the 3 or 4 times operating over-voltage is always a deathblow especially to the worn-out and low-insulating motor.
3. Surge voltage absorption equipment
The built-in resistance-capacitance surge voltage absorption equipment can effectively reduce the destruction of the opposing electromotive force occurred with coast-to-rest stop or unexpected power-off, so as to protect the motor.
4. By-pass contactor
If the Controller senses that the soft starter itself has a malfunction, the output voltage can be switched to full voltage (Power-Frequency) to ensure the continuous running by the built-in bypass contactor.
5. Auto-startup under load time delay
When mechanical unit soft stop under load, if user turn on the auto-startup when under load, it will soft start automatically by the time delay setting.
6. Consummate protection
It can protect the mechanical unit not only overload, under load, short circuit, phase loss, three phase unbalance, but also over voltage and under voltage protection, when this mode is turned on, when the working voltage is higher or lower than the setup value it can stop to protect the mechanical unit.
7. Backlit LCD display and programming keypad.
The human interface modules, a display panel and a Switchboard, can be used to program and display the following technical parameters:
* Three-phase current *Three-phase voltage
* Active Power *Reactive Power
* Apparent Power *Power factor

8. Default Phase and Phase discrimination Protection
When the phase order is default or connect wrong, the unit would not start and clue on the LCD screen.
