Our Organic Shea Butter is Grade A, Pure, Unrefined and Raw. It has no additives, preservatives, fragrance or colorants, with a pleasant nutty aroma. It has a soft and creamy non-grainy texture that melts easily at skin temperature. Regular use of Shea Butter may alleviate many skin problems, including blemishes, wrinkles, itching, sunburns, small skin wounds, eczema, skin allergies, insect bites, frost bite, and other skin conditions. Those with nut allergies should avoid or check with an allergist before using.

The oil content is the most crucial element of the shea nut as that component is an important ingredient in the composition of the butter that goes into Cocoa Butter Equivalents and other by-products.
If the oil content is higher and the FFA and moisture content is lower, then the exporter will receive a price premium.
Uses: Shea nuts are mainly use in the production of Shea Butter. Therefore all the uses of shea nuts are invariably embedded in the economic importance of Shea Butter.

General Description

Ojoba Collective unrefined shea butter is a traditionally crafted natural fatty substance. The butter is extracted from a seed kernal of the karite tree in the Upper East Region of Ghana, West Africa. The shea butter is natural, unrefined and in a pure form.

Storage

Store in a cool, dark place away from natural sunlight. Unrefined shea butter should be stored in sealed plastic sacks or plastic containers.



Uses

Unrefined shea butter is used as a good emollient and moisturizer for the skin due to the unique combination of triglycerides and high unsaponifiable content. It has moisturizing and regenerative properties that soothes and protects skin. Unrefined shea butter is smooth to the skin which makes it excellent for face, hand and body care products. Other suggested uses include lip balms, soaps, body butters, ointments, after sun care and bath products.
