Expansion Springs are used in conjunction with metal banding also referred to as Breather springs or Chill springs. By affixing to the banding they allow the banding to expand and contract where required. These are widely used over metal jacketing for oil and gas pipework. Expansion springs are designed for 19mm (3/4 Inch) banding simply attached to banding/¬strapping with stainless steel wing seals. The banding is slipped through the seal and then through the spaced opening at either end of the spring. Expansion springs are manufactured in standard size of 2 Inch (50 mm) and 4 Inch (100 mm) in Stainless Steel grade SS304, SS 316, and SS316L. Other sizes available on request
