Inconel Instrumentation Fittings are made from an austenitic alloy that contains chromium and nickel in their composition. Inconel Instrumentation Fittings hold their integrity even in extremely high temperatures. corrosion is a serious issue for clients who use instrumentation findings in environments rich in corrosive elements. With an increase in the amount of titanium and niobium content, the alloy can significantly be strengthened by the heat treatment process. Inconel alloy offers high strength along with corrosion resistance. When heated, these fittings create an oxide layer that protects them from the corrosive environment. Because of its corrosion resistance, Inconel Instrumentation Fittings would be an ideal choice in harsh environments. The compounds in the alloy act like an adhesive at the grain boundaries. When the material is heated to a high temperature, this adhesive prevents the size of the particles from expanding (smaller particles are stronger and larger particles are more ductile). In comparison to stainless steel, Inconel Instrumentation Fittings have significantly higher corrosion resistance and strength at high temperatures. Hastelloy Olets is a tungsten-added nickel-molybdenum-chromium super alloy designed to survive corrosion in a variety of severe environments. In reducing conditions, nickel steel alloys with high nickel and molybdenum content resist pitting and crevice corrosion, while chromium gives resistance to oxidizing environments. Carbide precipitation is avoided during welding due to the low carbon concentration, ensuring corrosion resistance in as-welded structures. This nickel alloy is suitable for most chemical process applications because it resists the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone when welded.
Hastelloy C-22 is resistant to oxidizing acid chlorides, wet chlorine, formic and acetic acids, ferric and cupric chlorides, seawater, brine, and a wide range of mixed or contaminated organic and inorganic chemical solutions. This nickel alloy also has the best resistance to reducing and oxidizing conditions in process streams. Flue gas scrubbers, chlorination systems, sulfur dioxide scrubbers, pulp, and paper bleach plants, pickling systems, and nuclear fuel reprocessing are all examples of the chemical process business. Alloy 20 forged fittings are well known for their outstanding mechanical qualities at both low and high temperatures. They are very resistant to general corrosion, crevice corrosion, and pitting.
