Normally Mica Blocks Quality are classified in 16 types of specifications as mentioned below :
V-1, Ruby Clear - Hard, of uniform colour, flat, free all stains and foreign inclusions, waves, crackes, buckles and other similar defects. Crystellographic disclouration is permitted to a limited extent.
Mica scrap is the nomenclature given to the irregular lumps of mica as received from the mines having a area between 1/2" and 1 1/2" sq. This type of mica is mainly exported to plants all over the world to be made into a pulp used for the manufacturing of mica paper and reconstituted mica plates. Domestically, it is used as a raw material for the manufacture of mica flakes and powder.

Mica is a hydrated phyllosilicate mineral of aluminium and potassium with formula KAl(F, OH), or (KF) (AlO) (SiO). Muscovite can be cleaved into very thin transparent sheets that can substitute for glass, particularly for high-temperature applications such as industrial furnace or oven windows.
