Micro Silica Sand: Micro silica also known as fume, is an amorphous (non-crystalline) polymorph of silicon dioxide, silica. It is an ultrafine powder collected as a by-product of the silicon and ferrosilicon alloy production and consists of spherical particles with an average particle diameter of 150 mm. The main field of application is as pozzolanic for high performance concrete because of its extreme fineness and high silica. Applications : Silica is added to Portland cement concrete to improve its properties, in particular its compressive strength, bond strength, and abrasion resistance. These improvements stem from both the mechanical improvements resulting from addition of a very fine powder to the cement paste mix as well as from the pozzolanic reactions between the silica fume and free calcium hydroxide in the paste. Advantages : Addition of silica also reduces the permeability of concrete to chloride ions, which protects the reinforcing steel of concrete from corrosion, especially in chloride-rich environments such as coastal regions and those of humid continental roadways and runways (because of the use of deicing salts) and saltwater bridges.

NMCO owns and operates high quality silica sand mines in EGYPT. These mines are producing high quality sand, and this sand has round shape and wide range of size distribution. This sand is the best, not only for Cast industry but also for high quality glass products because of its high silica content and extremely low impurities contents such as iron content. Glass sand of both types: For glass, glazes and ceramics industries with a silica oxide percentage of 99.85% and an iron oxide rate of not more than 0.014% Also for ceramic industries Origin: Egypt. Size: Powder "Per Client request". Raw: Selected quality from the best kaolin quarries in Egypt. Usage: This type of kaolin is used in the manufacture of glaze, white cement, ceramics, porcelain, rubber, rubber, electrical insulators, sanitary ware, refractories, ceramics, and others. All your inquiries or requests will be the subject of our attention and interest. For TDS, Please email us and we'll sent it ASAP.
Silica sand, also known as quartz sand, white sand, or industrial sand, is made up of two main elements: silica and oxygen. Specifically, silica sand is made up of silicon dioxide (SiO2). The most common form of SiO2 is quartz â?? a chemically inert and relatively hard mineral. SiO2 grades at a 7 out of 10 on Mohs hardness scale, making it ideal for use as filtration media and abrasive blasting sands. Although quartz is often white or colourless, it can come in a wide range of shades. The colour of each sand deposit depends largely on the variety of minerals and rock detritus that make up the resource. In order to be considered a silica sand the material must contain at least 95% SiO2 and less than 0.6% iron oxide. If the sand does not meet this criteria, it will qualify as whatâ??s often called â??regularâ?? sand. Regular sand, also known as feldspathic sand, brown sand, or construction sand, will always contain some silica, but only in amounts less than 95%. For example, typical brown sand used for concrete applications can contain up to 80% SiO2, along with varying amounts of iron, carbonate, potassium, and other trace elements/minerals. Silica Sand Silica Sand is quartz that over time, through the work of water and wind, has been broken down into tiny granules. Commercial Silica Sand is widely used as a proppant by companies involved in oil and natural gas recovery in conventional and unconventional resource plays. The resource is also used in industrial processing to make everyday items such as glass, construction materials, personal care products, electronics, and even renewable materials. Industrial sand is a term normally applied to high purity silica sand products with closely controlled sizing. It is a more precise product than common concrete and asphalt gravels.
GS-Silica Sand: Highly recommended from the glass and ceramic factories in Egypt due to its high percentage of silicon and its sizes variations. GS Silica Sand mine located at Zaafarana area directly on the red sea, the atmosphere and the geological formation leaded this natural product to be in its best shape to meet the local and international market's requirements.
