Cotton Stretch Bandage, is also named 100% cotton stretch bandage, pure cotton stretch bandage, consists of characteristic fabric of plain weave. The warp threads are made of single or two fold cotton threads with a count between 55 and 65 tex, after crepe twisting, not finer than 59 tex, each contains not less than 21 folding turns per centimeter. The weft threads are of singles cotton thread with a count not finer than 29 tex. The warp threads are arranged one twofold thread S-twist, one singles thread, one twofold thread Z-twist, one singles thread, repeated, together with two twofold binding threads at each cut edge. The fabric is clean and reasonably free from weaving defects and contains not more than traces of leaf residue, seed coat and other impurities.
Cotton Stretch Bandage BP may be dyed. It is in one continuous length with no joins and has fast edges.
For the purpose of this monograph the width is that portion between and including the last edge of the unstretched bandage.

Operation:
1. Wear the gloves and choose the proper specifications.
2. Use the cast padding or stockinet on the fixed part.
3. Open a bag and take out the cast, immerse in room temperature water at 4-6 seconds and press 2-3 times, take it out and squeeze out the excess water.
4. Wrap the cast spirally according to the need, keep the proper tension. Wrap 2-4 layers at non-weight-bearing position and 4-6 layers at weight-bearing position.
5. Shape the wrapped cast according to the need. The solidify time is 3-5 minutes, 20 minutes later the cast reaches the enough strength.
6. Use the electric cast saw to cut and remove it.
Notes:
1. The operator should wear gloves to avoid the polyurethane touching and adhering the skin.
2. Open one bag at one time and use the cast immediately. Don't open multi-bags at the same time, so that to avoid weakening the strength.
3. The cast need to be cut and removed by the electric cast saw.
4. Pay attention to avoid breakage of the bags during transportation and storage, for touching moisture in the air can cause the cast to solidify.

Using Method:
a) Put on 1-2 layers stockinette or casting padding to protect the fixed part.
b) Put on medical gloves
c) Open the package, immerse the casting tape into 2 to 24 room temperature water for 4-6 seconds and squeeze 2-3 times in order to remove extra water.
d) Take the cast out of water, and squeeze out extra water.
e) Wrap spirally on the fixed part, overlapping the previous layer by one half or two thirds the wideth of the roll. 3-4 layers are enough for a non-weight-bearing cast, and 5-6 layers are normally adequate for a weight-bearing cast.
f) Make shape of the casting tape according to real needs. Make forward and backward movements in order to achieve good contact between layers.
g) The operation needs to be done in 3-5 minutes. And allow 10 mins for the cast to sufficiently cure. Patients are not allowed to move in these 10 mins. In room temperature, the product will sufficiently cure in 30 minutes after taking out of water.
h) To remove the cast, pls use electric plaster saw.
